For my purposes I prefer Geronimo and/or JOnAS to Glassfish, but Glassfish is a better-performing option (once the startup time has passed by!) and it is the one guaranteed to be up to date with the latest Java EE specifications, seeing as it is the reference platform. For static server purposes I'd probably choose Glassfish over Geronimo/JOnAS but for a portable environment it lacks.
