What is Glaze?

Glaze is an AI-powered desktop app builder from Raycast icon Raycast that lets users create Mac apps by describing what they want in plain language. Instead of generating browser-based tools, Glaze builds local-first desktop apps that run on the user’s machine, launch quickly, and can work offline.

Apps created with Glaze can access desktop features such as the file system, keyboard shortcuts, menu bar integration, background processes, local hardware, APIs, and other connected services. Users can build personal utilities, workflow automations, internal tools, menu bar apps, and team-specific software, then modify them through conversation or by editing the underlying code.

Glaze also includes options for sharing apps privately, publishing them to a team store, or making them available through the public Glaze Store. It currently supports Mac, requiring macOS Tahoe and Apple Silicon, with Windows and Linux support planned.
