What is iVisionGuard?

iVisionGuard is a screen distance app for Android. Screen time apps count how long you look at the screen. iVisionGuard checks how close you hold it, and reminds you when it gets too close.

The first time you open the app, hold the phone about 35 cm (14 inches) from your eyes and tap Save. From then on, if the screen stays closer than that for a few seconds, you get a reminder: a notification with vibration, a tone, a short message recorded in your own voice, or a dimmed screen. Move the device back and the reminder stops.

Version 2.0 is a full redesign:

  • Separate child and adult profiles on one phone, each with its own distance, reminders and stats.
  • Stats that show the habit taking hold: safe time, alerts, a day streak and a history calendar.
  • Economical mode that checks the distance every 10 seconds to save battery.
  • Automatic pause during phone and video calls.
  • 12 languages.

The front camera is used only to tell how far away your face is. The image is processed on the device and never sent anywhere. No frames are recorded or saved.

Free, with no ads. Plus adds a settings lock with PIN or fingerprint, a full-screen warning with your photo and advanced stats.
