Comments and Reviews
3 stars would be "average", which would be a reasonable review considering that most articles are little more than an unchanged copy of Wikipedia's American English articles.
Beyond this, I deducted a star because of the faulty logic behind the project. Founder Betty Wills "created Justapedia to restore objectivity, having observed Wikipedia’s shift toward political bias and antisemitic tendencies" (https://justapedia.org/wiki/Justapedia:What_to_expect), which is a vague accusation but noble endeavor. To combat this, "Justapedia turns to qualified experts and reflects the dispute in a measured and transparent manner. Editorial decisions are not determined solely by consensus but according to the weight of evidence, factual coherence, and reasonable logic." (https://www.inss.org.il/publication/zionism-wiki/) At face value, this sounds sensible; however, terminology such as "qualified experts" and "'reasonable' logic" is treated as being inherently monolithic and more objective, when, in reality, there's a distinct possibility that you could be trading one subjectivity for another. In other words, despite the legitimate criticism of Wikipedia and the promise of greater objectivity, it still runs into the same basic issue- the potential for bias from any community participant, expert or not.
