Since they started handling passwords in addition to the 2FA stuff this app has changed the game imo. I can log into any site with Face ID (a la Windows Hello) or biometrics on my Android phone. It may not sound like a big deal but with some of the hoops that password managers make you jump through, it really is. Looking at you LastPass...shame on you.
Extremely unintuitive to use, I am using flagship phones set up correctly and most of the time the code doesn't show up or requires me to go to a sub-menu to enter another code, so 3? factor authentication that works half the time, just stick with actual 2FA with the 6-digit TOTP codes, and for that you don't need this proprietary app that will phone to Microsoft and try to collect data.
