It is a wonderful and easy to use tool to keep all of your notes on any link found inside the browser. Excellent for research, or bookmarking, and best of all - it is completely open source!

Features are impressive! Will investigate more before making a definitive engagement. It was a great tool. But it is worst how quick the just shut down their service. Usually I'm not reading many announcements of any apps. But fortunately I did when I received a news-update over email from Omnivore. They give us 15 days to act and then they are shutting down. I have no words for that. They never said that this could happen and then all of a sudden they're disappearing.

Luckily wallabag has an affordable service and created a tool for us to switch and import the articles saved in Omnivore. Thanks to wallabag!!

You consent to data collection by using the service. Your data is being stored and possibly sold. While open-source is nice, the Privacy Policy needs to improve.

TLDR: Omnivore does not sell your data, we store your data on our servers so it can be accessed via the web and synced to devices. We use a limited set of analytics and logging tools to ensure the service is functioning and to debug issues. We use email to contact you, send you marketing messages, and send you in-app messages (but you can always opt out of our emails)."

You still consent to data collection. It may not be sold, but it's still being stored on another device. You don't know how they treat that data (is it even encrypted?).

I love it keeps track of my reading progress. If I left mid-read, when I come back it resumes from there.
