It's FOSS for one thing. It's got a cooler logo than LibreOffice or MS Office, too! But seriously, it's also a great product, and far from what the media has been saying, it's anything but dead. Having just checked the Website a few moments ago, I noticed (a) they're hiring new developers, which a dying product wouldn't do; (b) the newest release was literally two days ago; (c) the Website itself is up-to-date and beautifully designed. The point is, it's perfect. =)
If you're searching a Suite, I advise you to use LibreOffice instead. And people who still using OpenOffice : you should really consider using LibreOffice. There is a well know bug (https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=126869) on Apache OpenOffice since 2016, it still unresolved (and I wonder if it will be one day), and it can corrompt your files and make them useless.
Here is a video of what can happen because of that bug : https://twitter.com/i/status/1136527439604133890 Knowing that now, continue using it or download it at your own risk.

It was good back in its day, but Oracle squandered it and Apache has basically just kept it on life support for a decade. Most of the active improvements have been in
LibreOffice since 2011.
One of the smallest office programs. It consumes only 328Mb. For this reason alone I will install it on my system SSD rather than Libre Office or Only Office. I can format a sheet in it or make a table. I need very few functions and will keep it for the sake of my drive space economy.
Not a bad alternative to Microsoft office. Have been using this for about 3 years now
Does not have any real update since 2014. Use LibreOffice instead.
