Transcription runs on your device by default using local Whisper models, so your voice never leaves your Mac. When you want more speed or power, you can switch individual features to the cloud, and a single privacy switch turns every cloud feature off again instantly.
Ownvox also handles voice AI prompts. Ask a question out loud from any app and the answer lands directly in your text, using your own model and API key. No window hopping, no lost context.
Built for GDPR and made in Germany. Optional cloud processing runs on EU infrastructure (proxy at Hetzner in Germany, inference at Scaleway in France).
