The best program I found to really compress pictures to the maximum with the full set of settings.

Remember to un-check metadata removing options if you want to avoid losing them :)

It comes bundled with adware, developers are automatically untrustworthy

  1. Can not batch resize ( downscale )
  2. On windows10, when I minimize the batch optimizer, it just disappears, leaving nothing on the taskbar. I have to terminate it with task manager.
  3. No download mirror for portable application, only dropbox links available, making it inaccessible in china.
  4. Free but not FOSS. Don't know whether it's a adware/trojan or not.

Very versatile and extensible, with a clean UI

Efficient tool. I use it when I have to publish some heavy image on my blog. Preview mode is great and the soft is simple to use.
