What is SceneWeaver?

SceneWeaver is a writing and project organisation application designed for large and complex projects.

Instead of working with a single large document, SceneWeaver allows you to organise your work into chapters, scenes, sections, notes, and research materials that can be rearranged at any time. This makes it easier to manage novels, dissertations, technical manuals, role-playing campaigns, scripts, and other long-form projects.

Alongside your writing, SceneWeaver provides tools for managing characters, locations, organisations, items, timelines, annotations, research notes, references, and supporting material within the same project. Features such as corkboard planning, timeline views, smart collections, focus mode, and full-text search help writers stay organised as projects grow.

SceneWeaver is suitable for novelists, students, researchers, game masters, script writers, technical authors, and anyone working on a substantial writing project. Projects can be exported to common formats for sharing, printing, publishing, or further editing.

Privacy and Telemetry

SceneWeaver does not require registration and does not track users.

Optional telemetry and bug reporting can be enabled to help improve the software. When enabled, SceneWeaver records anonymous information such as feature usage and performance timings. This information helps identify performance issues and improve future releases.

A randomly generated installation ID is created when telemetry is enabled. This identifier contains no personal information, is not linked to an account, and cannot be used to identify an individual. The identifier remains the same across upgrades but changes if the software is reinstalled.

SceneWeaver does not collect IP addresses, user identities, manuscript content, notes, research, or project data. Your work remains on your device unless you explicitly choose to export, share, or publish it yourself.

Free versions do not require an account. Paid versions use licence verification codes solely for licensing purposes and not for user tracking.

Each installation is treated independently and cannot be linked to other installations belonging to the same user.
