muhammadfarag added SpamBlocker as alternative to EyeconWorks as intended. My samsung dialer handles all the call, while spamblocker handles the calls to block as well as blocking unknown callers. Supports dark mode which for me is a must have. The setup needs a little bit extra attention but once you are set, it is good to go. Solved my use case issue.

I'm trying it and it's super customizable. I can't give it 5 stars because I'm stil not sure if it works well or not. For now it seems not better or worse than Should I Answer. I suggest you to try it yourself, since it's free and open source!

It works, but it does overtake your default sms/call apps to a degree. Technically it does not, but in practice you need to disable the notifications from your sms app and use this app's notifications.
