Easily the best speech-to-text program I've used on windows thus far. Handles everything perfectly, and the built in training system is amazing for a fantasy writer like myself where the vocabulary system [which is the only option in most other software] just isn't enough for you.

The UI is clunky compared to mac options, but seems to be about par for windows options.

That said if you are on a Mac I'd recommend VoiceInk. The Mac version of speechpulse just isn't as optimized and eats way more ram then voiceink for similar feature set, the only thing your missing is the training feature. Thankfully for my mac I don't need the training feature so voiceink is the clear winner.

It’s a bit slow on my Intel Core i5. I don’t have an NVidia GPU unfortunately, which would be faster.

Anyway, the result of speech to text is quite good to excellent, depending on the language model you use. And the price of 20 $ as a one-time purchase is very fair in my opinion. Sadly, not available for Linux, but only for Windows and Mac.

SpeechPulse is a dictation software for Windows 10/11 and Apple Silicon Macs. It can type into any text input, including text editors, web browsers, and office applications. SpeechPulse works fully offline and doesn’t require any internet connectivity.

SpeechPulse supports speech recognition in multiple languages, including English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese, Chinese, and Russian (a total of 100 languages).

SpeechPulse can also generate subtitles for audio and video files with accurate timestamps. It also supports batch file processing and custom subtitle widths.

SpeechPulse can also use NVIDIA GPUs for faster transcription.
