SpeedyNote is fast, reliable, and runs well on low-end hardware. It is the best FOSS note-taking app for Android in my opinion, especially for annotating PDFs. Unfortunately, in my experience it does also consume a lot of battery on Android, much more than native Android/Flutter apps.
it's exported notes are also much smaller in file size than some other app's, which is really cool for archival
