What is Telkino?

Telkino shows and controls a Mac or Windows PC from iPhone and iPad. It connects directly to macOS Screen Sharing and to Windows VNC servers (TightVNC, UltraVNC, RealVNC) over the local network or the user's own VPN. There is no account, no relay server, no cloud sync and no analytics: the connection goes from the device to the computer and nowhere else.

On Macs, Telkino uses Apple's High Performance screen sharing mode: the Mac streams as HEVC video at a resolution that fits the device, with automatic fallback to classic VNC. Servers that offer unauthenticated access are refused.

On iPad, a hardware keyboard types straight into the session (arrow keys, Command shortcuts) and a Magic Trackpad clicks, drags, right-clicks and scrolls precisely. Further features: view-only mode, Wake on LAN, Bonjour discovery of Macs on the network, Shortcuts and Siri support, clipboard sync, per-computer image quality, a local demo computer to try the app without a network, six languages (English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese).

The first computer is free with all features included. Telkino Pro (unlimited computers, clipboard sync, Wake on LAN) is a one-time in-app purchase, no subscription. Telkino speaks VNC only; it does not support Windows RDP.
