Trivalent

Trivalent is a specialized, security-hardened Chromium browser for desktop Linux, primarily targeting Fedora and other RPM-based distributions. Developed by secureblue and inspired by the Vanadium browser from the GrapheneOS project, Trivalent applies additional patches, sandbox flags, and stricter compiler settings on top of upstream Chromium to deliver advanced exploit mitigations and enhanced privacy.

Key features include:

• Sandbox Hardening: Enforces strict site isolation, seccomp-bpf restrictions, and other measures to reduce the risk of sandbox escapes.
• Integration with hardened_malloc: Provides robust heap protections, detecting or preventing many memory-corruption exploits.
• Minimal Attack Surface: Disables (or makes optional) features like password managers, usage metrics, and suggestions that can introduce privacy or security concerns.
• Frequent Updates: Tracks Chromium’s release cycle closely, pulling in upstream security patches while maintaining Trivalent-specific hardening.
