    Zipware can compress as ZIP, 7Z & EXE. Can encrypt as AES-256 & ZipCrypto. Has a neat Explorer integration. Has a nice modern-looking UI. Instantly extracts and compresses from the mouse menu. Will do for an average user.

    The one feature I use Zip Ware for, I don't even see listed. That is to archive a ton of files, into separate archives, for comic/book archives. I was able to do that with my last zip program, but it involved having to do a command line that would zip each sub-directory one at a time in a given folder. WIth Zip Ware, just highlight a ton of named folders, right click, and you can add each folder to separate archives just like that. You even get the choice of zip/ 7z / other. Dunno what...

Zipware can compress as ZIP, 7Z & EXE. Can encrypt as AES-256 & ZipCrypto. Has a neat Explorer integration. Has a nice modern-looking UI. Instantly extracts and compresses from the mouse menu. Will do for an average user.

Dunno what other is, but assuming you can probably add anything. Its so simple and easy to use. Its unfortunate that its been discontinued, but hey, what are they going to do, you can't improve on perfection :P

What is Zipware?

Zipware has been designed to be simple, fast and stable to handle both small and large archives. Zipware also supports many Linux archive formats such as tar and gzip. Zipware is freeware and can be downloaded below. Features

  • Extract: ZIP, ZIPX, 7Z, RAR, RAR5, ISO, VHD, GZIP, BZIP2, TAR, CPIO, XZ, DEB,DMG,RPM,XPI and more...
  • Create: ZIP, 7-ZIP, EXE (create self-extracting and split/multi-volume archives)
  • Create password protected archives encrypted using AES-256 encryption.
  • Convert any of the archive formats listed above to zip, 7z or exe.
  • Supports Drag and drop to Windows Explorer.
  • Perform all archiving functions from Windows Explorer using Zipware's integrated context menu.
  • Windows Explorer context menu that calculates and lists the size of all folders in a directory.
