Downvoted a comment on MastodonI find it hard to believe that i am saying this, but in the two years that i tried multiple instances of Mastodon, i found it to be a far, far more toxic place than any of it's mainstream competitors. Without looking for it, i found all of the very worst online behaviour, but in a much more concentrated form. For all it's flaws, i would seriously recommend Twitter over Mastodon any day.

Even thought the idea is good, most instances are maintained by political and religious groups with similar ideology. Discover, local and recommended will then lead you to their Spokesman and content. Boosts by Fake Users, Followers, Likes and Bots obviously exist as well. Therefore, it should be questioned as truly independent.
