widgets are EXTREMELY helpful, and there are plenty of them!

all kinds of graphs and statistics to actually see the progress. it's rewarding.

you can archive some habits if you need. they will be hidden, means less distraction. also, you can turn on optional rest/pause days without loosing a progress. for example, making a pause with sport while you're sick. it's only fair to take your time. it has two modes for habits: yes/no type and measured type. i like this separation. helps with...

it's very flexible in what i could track and what structure to use.

at first i just started using it because it has implemented mood tracker with the system i need: high energy / low energy + pleasant / unpleasant.

the ready-to-use tracking templates (like mood, hydration, sleep, food, time spent outdoors) help with testing, and only after - tweaking details.

because if i need to build the whole system myself - it's distracting me from actually using it. if i don't have flexibility in what...

i can't say anything about the community (you better check other reviews for it), but functionally it's one of the most useful websites (or type-of-websites) for OCs database, especially HTML customization. good option for those who can't/don't want to host their own website.

things i like: optional CSS customization, privacy settings (public or logged-in only), good tagging system and explanations how the rules work, cool old DeviantArt feeling, guestbook and monthly art challenges :3

if you just want to share small videos for fun and have an indie-web community - then it's a good place. but it's not suitable for serious long videos.

LJ ~recently (December, 2025) made an announcement (in russian language, but automatic translation works fine) about new changes. LJ's current management (Rambler, which is owned by Sberbank, russian national bank) is internationally sanctioned. therefore, no financial transactions from sanctioning states can be processed. so if you're living in a nation not allied to russia, they can't make money...

those who's fleeing from Discord, please be aware Stoat team was out of emails yesterday (11.02.26), but today it seems to be ok again. if you didn't receive a confirmation email, please give it a chance and wait a little bit U_U 人

Nostalgic design hooks me every time, even though I realize it does not always mean a good service. This one is OK, at least currently. One important thing to mention about recent changes on their TOS (as of Dec, 2025): "Askmos.me will feature advertisements and may include sponsored content in the future."

webhosting, but with (optional) social aspect like webpage "accounts". means kind of RSS feed with changelog and maybe even "guestbook". has file restrictions at free account, which isn't a problem for people who just want to have fun. but could be limiting for advanced users.

i noticed that its userbase is slightly older than Nekoweb's, but i think it helps with teaching beginners and offering help.

very friendly in terms of simple HTML/CSS/JS. simple start with minimum of barriers (way...

tech stuff: it's beginner-friendly, but offers cool features for more advanced users, such as Git and NekoVM. which means there are fewer limitations when learning! also: no file type restrictions.

an additional, but important note: it has a community of like-minded individuals who help popularize HTML and creative, authentic webbuilding for younger people. it gives me hope for a healthier internet. exloring others' webpages and tags is a lot of fun! i feel at ease and welcome there - no...

centralized servers that store user information, no default e2e, privacy features locked behind paywall (anonymity for voice messages when resend), ads. deleted messages from regular chats stay at servers for 6 months (official statement, at least), servers in russia (to store user data, Tg uses the services of two russian companies: GlobalNet LLC and RETN).

it's not "security-focused". i doubt that even "privacy-focused" is something that suits Tg.

can't say anything about using it for serious work, because i use this for personal stuff. so treat this review as a review about personal usage option.

in my case, it's perfect for back-up, sync of always-changing small code projects, large files (high-resolution images and game files), sending files between users, copying files from other users to my cloud instead of downloading it right away, sharing folders (read-only or for people without account to upload something in there),...

perfect balance between simplicity and customization. those who just want to write could just use existing CSS themes and simple Markdown. those who know how to code and want customization - could modify or create custom CSS.

want to connect with other people there and to be in local feed? you can do it. want to make the blog ~anonymous and invisible? you can do it too.

free functionality is more than enough for personal use. and if one needs more - price for paid version is reasonable,...
