    looks promising. has nice webpage. uses 1000% of your CPU just launching or downloading gpt models. unable to download large models because for some reason not using any AI but downloading the model requires full load aswell.

    all I am pointing out: this feels really beta and is not working well. gpt4all was much better.

    Works decently, but must connect to the internet to embed any documents if you use its build in embedding model.

    Others, like GPT4All and Text-generation-web-ui do not require this.

    AnythingLLM is also slower and more buggy.

    LM Studio Classic relies on network dependencies for features like RAG embedding downloads and Hugging Face repository structures, rendering it dysfunctional in true air-gapped offline environments. In field conditions without internet access, the interface fails to recognize locally loaded models. While the app is marketed as a fully standalone offline solution, that claim is intentionally misleading.
