Incorrect to say "Self-hosting" as a feature. They offer a private server install on their own servers.
But it can be self-hosted, therefore it's a feature, no?
Not really. Self-hosting usually refers to the customer being able to install the product on their own servers (on-premise). "Self" in "self hosting" should refer to the customer not the product. Having the product hosted by "itself" on a separate server is not self-hosting in the traditional sense if the vendor still has access to the sever.
Yeah, I know what self hosted means. They offer a version that you install on your own server.
I got in touch and asked for pricing for a self-hosted licence and they would only offer a private server install. Not sure if this is something that they used to offer but have moved away from.
Just click "pricing" on their website and scroll down to the self hosted option. It's $999 one time fee.
Not sure why Xenophanes is getting downvotes here. There may theoretically be a self-hosted version but the price is not even published on the ActiveCollab website: https://activecollab.com/self-hosted-project-management
I'm pretty sure the self-hosted option was removed for at least a couple of years at one point. ActiveCollab put the screw to its lifetime users at one point by issuing a completely new version and discontinuing even security updates for the older version. ActiveCollab has always been a strange business proposition, though I wish them all the best.
Very nice product and help us in ou team collaboration and team effiscience... Better work with it ;)
I tried a lot of services, but in all of them there was something missing.
In this case, I would like to note the simplicity of using all the functions that are incorporated in this service. Creation of projects, drawing up of reports, management of expenses, the account of time and so on. All these functions are easily and quickly mastered.
A pleasant interface does not divert attention. The ability to change the menu picture helps to personalize the appearance.
Various add-ons, such as integration with various services, own application for time accounting, payment processing and much more. The presence of these add-ons enhances the service capabilities.
I would like to note the presence of a mobile application. Functionality is limited, but for checking tasks and viewing comments is great.
In general, this is still the best solution for project management, which I found for myself. And to you I recommend.
I use activeCollab for 7 years now. We started with an on-premise solution, now we use the hosted version. The pricing is great, we can invite the whole team. But the most important thing is that people GET the software. No need to explain a lot, it's intuitive.
It's very simple and intuitive tool, that offers powerful features just when I need them.
I have been using Wrike in the past as well as Jira, both are great products, however Jira is way to complex for small businesses as it is an enterprise product, Wrike's system while it was good for most everyday tasks, simply was not as easy and seamless as Active Collab which we have implemented a few moths back. It is lightweight, the transfer from Wrike was very easy with a migration tool they offer, also when I faced some issues during the migration due to the different sub-task structures, the AC support quickly helped me out. Thank you, great service.

Absolutely the simplest and yet the most effective and usable project management solution! My team loves it, it really keeps them on the same track.
