The way it auto-suggests Tag names makes it worthy of consideration, but I prefer the program Tabbles in general.

It looks great, I really like the clean UI and I'm awestruck at how fast it runs on my default browser. However, I don't understand why it has to duplicate every file I dropped into it, specifically on Data Files and Export Default. This would soon consume all the spaces on my hard drive. :/

Netras

allTags duplicates files on export temporarily for file versioning purposes. When you close the app, the space is freed up again. If you want to manage very large files (like videos), you can add files as references - this way you do not get versioning and no export is created. You will need to run allTagsShell though (not your own browser).

What is allTags?

allTags was developed to manage large file sets efficiently. Time-consuming actions, like naming files and choosing folders, are replaced by flexible tagging operations.

With built-in support functions, allTags avoids inconsistencies and speeds up file description and retrieval. allTags is 100% free to use.

Why is managing files better with allTags?

Traditional, hierarchical file systems have systematic limitations that become apparent when working with a large number of files. Some issues are with using folders as categories, like being able to place files in multiple folders by theme or topic. Or regularly having to change folder structures based on new files.

Other issues stem from creeping inconsistencies with naming conventions, often redundant folder structures and duplicate files. allTags reduces the number of choices you need to make when dealing with files, while providing a fast alternative to file description with the use of tags.
