I’ve been a Dashlane user since before version 2.0, which means I still enjoy free lifetime access to its premium features. The biggest strengths of Dashlane Premium are its seamless cross-device integration and flawless synchronization. Yes, it’s a paid service, but it outperforms many other password managers in terms of reliability, security, and user experience. While alternatives like Bitwarden are excellent and open-source, their mobile apps (Android/iOS) don’t match Dashlane’s polish and ease of use. If you can afford it—or if you’re locking down passwords for a large family with the Family Plan—Dashlane is hands-down the best paid password manager: well-maintained, secure, and incredibly convenient. Worth every penny for those who prioritize a smooth, hassle-free experience.
If you're looking for a free password manager service, this is great except for the fact that it doesn't sync your information across devices unless you subscribe to their premium service. For me, that's a dealbreaker.

Proprietary, "Cloud" based, motivates users to pay for it.
I switched to Keepass (KeepassDX and KeepassXC), synchronized with Syncthing. Its way better, you can archive and share the file and own your data!
Bitwarden would be a good alternative, if you want the Cloud-based experience, but being OpenSource.
I should have been suspicious, seeing as there had been no signs for a desktop app for Linux. Now they are killing support for the desktop app in Windows. Web app is a much bigger pain to use compared to the desktop app. I'll miss some of the features they offered, but I'll be looking for an 'alternative to' this app.
I've been using it since February 2019 and was very satisfied at first. Unfortunately, opening has not worked reliably recently. It can take a minute for the safe to open. So the tool has become useless for me and I replace it with 1Password, which was a tip from several colleagues and works much better.
