I used it because: it’s simple, clean interface, easy to find programs, fast. After default un installation, it shows a list of trash left by the program so you can choose what to delete. It may be not so efficient as other paying programs but it is much better than Windows default program management and cleans better. So a good choice.

Warning: there is a "Pro" version that does not belong to Geek Uninstaller. So if you go Pro, you will get a very different program.

I have never had any problems with it, I especially like to use it to uninstall all the bloatware that comes with a Windows installation.

I too have had a questionable version of Geek. I guess the answer in general downloading of programs is to be sure to download from a reliable source, and do hash tag checks. Many of us are likely not sure how to do this or will quickly trust something simply because it's from a site we are familiar with. We may also think all author's sites are reputable.

Lightweight, portable, fast uninstalling software. I was using BCuninstaller, but geek is much faster.

Update 2025: You would probably choose it because it's quick and easy (I did). From reading other reviews, you may see that there can be leftovers, and issues.. and I tend to agree. If you are looking for quick and easy, a better bet may be Soft Organizer icon Soft Organizer . All you do is right-click the software's shortcut and choose uninstall. It's quicker and easier.
