Layouto is a quiet menu-bar app that makes everything you type come out right. Everyday typing wins, one helper.

Text Shortcuts (Expansions) Type a short abbreviation, get the full text: "brb" becomes "be right back," "addr" fills in your full address, "sig" drops in your email signature.

• Organize shortcuts into sets and search across all of them instantly.
• Start from ready-made packs: symbols, currency, dates and times, emoji, and more.
• Add named variables and a cursor placeholder, alongside {{date}}, {{time}} and {{clipboard}}.
• Scope a whole set to specific apps, so work shortcuts stay out of personal chats.
• Import and export any set.

Wrong-Layout Fix Ever typed "ghbdtn" when you meant "??????" or "da??e" instead of "danke", or a jumble because the keyboard was still in another language? Layouto spots a word typed in the wrong keyboard layout and flips it to the right one, instantly, as you type. Pressed the wrong fix? Double-tap Shift to undo or cycle through your layouts.

Typo Correction (optional) A hand-picked list of classic misspellings: "definately" becomes "definitely," "teh" becomes "the." Layouto never guesses, so it never mangles a word you actually meant.

Accessibility Layouto is built to stay usable when you cannot watch the screen closely.

Smart App Exceptions Coding in Terminal or VS Code? Layouto leaves your commands alone. Mark any app as a no-fix zone.

Protected Words iPhone, iCloud, macOS and any term you add keep their exact spelling and capitalization.

20+ Languages Arabic, Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Greek and more. Missing one? Drop a Hunspell dictionary into ~/Library/Spelling and Layouto picks it up automatically. The Settings interface itself now speaks 20 languages too.
