What is LingoSpark?

LingoSpark is a web app designed for English learners and teachers, focusing on British-style ESL practice. It offers custom vocabulary review, classroom team games, and structured writing drills from beginner to academic essay levels.

The Vocab Review feature is free. Users can paste a glossary or use built-in word pools to practice with various tools such as Classic Flashcards, Vocabulary Bomb Defusal, Grid Territory, and Vocab Auction. Unknown flashcards remain in the deck until mastered, and Grid and Auction can be played solo or with two players.

The Team Challenge feature is designed for classroom projectors. It includes sentence scramble, letter puzzles, word chains, and shared word-board games, enabling the whole class to participate on a big screen.

The Writing Suite is a paid feature. It includes Primary English, which covers rich word choice, adding detail, sentence linking, and exam-style emails with feedback. Advanced English covers essay structure, discourse markers, counter-arguments, reducing wordiness, academic vocabulary, vocab-driven writing adventure, goal-based roleplay with a PDF report, and exam-essay assessment from a photo or PDF.
