OSM is a great map service. I've added so many streets, buildings, etc. to the area around me, I see it getting better every single day, and contributing to and opensource map project is fun, too!
In many ways, it's much like what pre-Google Waze used to be; however, the fact that it's open-source, can be used offline, and is considerate of your privacy makes it even better. This project is community organizing at its finest: a map that each individual can all contribute to (editing isn't very difficult either) and use for their own specific needs.
Great map! Free and open-source!
better than Google or Apple Maps
OSM is a great map service that lets you find places easily and quickly. You can also contribute to the map by adding or editing information. OSM is free, open-source and community-driven.
already 10 years active of this platform and communities working on this platform. I it not everywhere detailed and missing some buildings addresses POI. But why not adding yourself to help yourself and others with it.
According to AlternativeTo, OpenStreetMap runs in a web browser. Does it have a native app for iPhone?
According to "Alternative map browsing options" on the OpenStreetMap wiki, Mobilemap is optimized for mobile devices, but it still runs in a web browser.
