Easily the best, most private way of accessing Facebook via mobile
I know i'm Anti-Facebook, But... "SlimSocial For Facebook" Might be best if You Care About Privacy But Don't want to quit your Facebook Account
SlimSocial was revived in May 2023 with a rewritten codebase using Flutter. It's not so "slim" anymore as it weighs 20Mb instead of 100kb but it seemingly works ok-ish. No updates since then. With all that said, SlimSocial is currently the most up-to-date facebook-wrapper available.
**Nice and light but ... ads ** . . . A nice light alternative to a web browser, loads quickly. Good for places where internet is slow or patchy. Those stuck on data plans however may not like the ads that play in the top bar.
In the description above as well as in the Features list, it says "ad-free". If you're still seeing ads, then please report it to the mods to make the necessary corrections. Otherwise it is misleading. But please ensure that the ads you're seeing are fetched by the app and not something else in your smartphone.
Um... it looks like the ads could be being injected by Google because this app is available on it's app store.
