What is TranscribeX?

TranscribeX is a macOS app that converts audio and video files into transcripts using OpenAI Whisper and Nvidia Parakeet models. It performs all transcriptions locally, ensuring user privacy. It can distinguish and label different speakers in your recordings with its Automatic Speaker Diarization feature.

Users can import local files for transcription, record audio directly from their Mac, or download and transcribe files from websites like YouTube. It recognizes over 100 languages and can translate transcripts into the same number of languages using Apple Translate or DeepL. Other features include AI prompts, the ability to summarize transcripts using ChatGPT, Gemini, and more, and export to formats like TXT, PDF, SRT, and VTT.

The Pro version grants access to all OpenAI Whisper models, AI chat and transcript summarization, advanced speaker configuration, and high-resolution video download. Pro users also get priority support and access to future Pro features at no extra cost. A 7-day refund policy is available.
