Vivid Walls

Vivid Walls is a wallpaper application for Mac users. It lets users import their Wallpaper Engine library from Steam without re-downloading or re-purchasing. The application supports 4K video, interactive web wallpapers, and per-monitor control. It's built for Apple Silicon and doesn't require Electron or third-party dependencies.

The app offers live video wallpapers in 4K that can be used as desktop backgrounds. It supports MP4, MOV, and all AVFoundation-compatible formats for smooth looping playback. Users can run real-time web content directly on their desktop, including particle effects, clock widgets, and weather displays.

Vivid Walls allows different wallpapers on every display for multi-monitor setups. It features playlists that auto-cycle through favorite wallpapers at intervals from 1 minute to 2 hours. It prioritizes performance with features like auto-pause on battery, fullscreen, idle, quality presets, and FPS caps in Settings. The software is built in Swift and SwiftUI, compatible with macOS Sonoma and later, and adheres to Apple's Human Interface Guidelines. It offers video, web, image, GIF, and animated scene wallpapers, Wallpaper Engine import wizard, multi-monitor with per-display configuration, auto-pause, playlists with auto-cycling, performance controls, and no third-party dependencies.
