Wire released its server code!
This is a pretty terrible app. I had to create numerous accounts on this app because after a while, the messages I send get lost, in that they never make it off the client to the server and it doesn't matter which device or even which app I am using, desktop or mobile. They also save your contacts in plain text until you delete your account, so there's that. Also, they decided to move their business to the US without telling any of their users and have recently compromised on their own privacy policy, which is also a bad sign.
Signal is a far superior app and now they are moving away from requiring a phone number so they are definitely a better choice. Wire is good in theory, but they don't seem really interested in getting their act together and seem to be moving in the opposite direction when it comes to protecting their users.
Lightweight, platform is user-friendly.
I want to know if you can free international calls?
Multi platform, easy to use, most secure. I love this app.

Software as a service is a mark of lazy engineers. This is evidenced by the labyrinthine and messily-documented installation procedure.
2 stars for appalling value and no value security.

Wire was sold to a US holding and updated their privacy policy without informing their users.
