I've been using MiMo's speech model through MiniMax's API for my TTS project — the voice quality is surprisingly good for a free model. The emotional range is better than expected. Would love to see MiMo expand beyond chat into more voice/audio capabilities.
Currently building TokenFaucet (affordable TTS for indie creators) using MiniMax + MiMo dual engines. The combination works well for different use cases.

Xiaomi 's rival to 300-500B size models out in the market. Seems promising. But the online chat platform needs far more features than it currently has in order to be a truly appealing alternative to platforms like DeepSeek , Qwen , Kimi , MiniMax , YuanBao , etc.
