Only tools I could find that did what I needed, and it does it while looking great too.
Audio Hijack used to be great, but about an hour ago, I wanted to record some audio from my Mac, where my bought-and-paid-for copy has been since at least two years ago ... and suddenly, all of the windows had "Trial Mode" on them.
Worse, when I tried to record what I was trying to record, it "added noise" to the recording at about the 15 minute mark. That's not how Mac programs are supposed to behave.
If I can't get this straightened out with Amoeba, I will have to find something else. This is ridiculous.
I ended up having to buy another license ($70!!!!) for version 3.85, as the 4.0 version won't work with MacOS 10.13.6.
I can't say I was happy about that, though.
Much improved over previous versions: routing between components is more flexible (with manual editing), but can still be simple with automatic left-to-right proximity routing. Audio Hijack makes it very easy to add, for example, compression to audio conferencing apps (e.g., Zoom) to boost users with weak audio without boosting everything.
