But in the end, it was way too unreliable, and performance with long multi-track videos was extremely slow. There were even recordings where the different channels (screen and camera) were completely out of sync or one side was missing. So way too unreliable for my needs. I ended up moving to a combination of Bandicam for recording and DaVinci Resolve for editing, which works well for me.

i really like this, its so easy to use is amazing, maybe is not for pros but it works just fine for the little work i do there, is very easy to get how to use eveything, i like it a loot
When still in grade school, I saved $200 over the course of a year to buy a copy of Camtasia in 2018.
The program worked well enough, but always seemed to be lacking features for what I wanted to do. It's a decent program for what it does, but that's really just cutting clips together.
Since I bought it, I've been constantly pestered to upgrade to the "new" Camtasia, which is entirely priced on subscription models, with no option to buy it. After opening my copy today for this review, I found that it had entirely locked me out of the "lifetime" copy I bought. Not worth it. Use an alternative.

It was always absolutely overpriced, but they're getting greedier: Currently, they're only promoting their subscription plans, which are totally insane. There are far more capable video recorders and editors out there which are reasonably priced and some of them are actually free: Don't feed this greedy company.

I rate it 3.6, not great not terrible! Yea, don't bother running this on a <600 PC, it's helluva resource intensive. The GUI could have been better. But from what I've tried, It hangs a LOT. Sometimes rendering it unusable
