Excellent alternative to Google Maps, because, contrary to OpenStreetMap (which it relies on heavily though) it is not just a map and provides loads of functionalities that've become essential to many users. Only problem i see for now is the UI is not the best and i sometimes find myself searching for the right button more i'd like to. But that's to be expected when including so many features. Hopefully this will be worked on in the future !

Actually, as a map, it is the BEST map I have used, I would easily give it a 5, if it didn`t have the absurd "You have to know French to to change the language from French" ALL French apps use.. It IS a bit trick to get a actual (or not a true app, it IS a app, but is based on browser it is based on. In the end, it looks like it doesn't seem to matter much.. Yeah, and they DO understand the earth is ROUND, not flat, THAT is a huge plus, "Middle Age Google."

To me it seems you only have to click on the flag in the bottom left and you can switch languages, isn't it ?

It is not completely free. There are some premium features. The charges may be worth it though.
Great balance between usability and political decisions (open source, no ads, no commercial incentives, re-use of other open services). Missing features are being integrated regularly, quickly filling the gap with other online maps. I think it's important to support this effort!
When I tried to add it in AlternativeTo it was only in french (thus got rejected because english is required) and the development was exclusively focus in France. It seems they now are expanding in Europe and I guess Worwild is down the roadmap.
Had the French a problem too, cached it, actually, now it it use Norwegian for Norway, perfect!! Of course, HELL to find the "System Settings" or what ever it is is called...
