Chunk is a time blocking app for Mac. It lives in your menu bar: one click or a keyboard shortcut drops a panel over whatever you are doing, including fullscreen apps, so the day's plan is always one glance away. The panel also detaches into a normal resizable window when you want it to stay open.
Plan in Tasks or in Schedule, and drag the same items between them. Tasks holds lists, groups, smart lists, deadlines, Markdown notes, checklists, attachments and colours. Schedule gives you day, week, month and list views, and you build the day by dragging tasks straight onto the timeline.
Calendar sync is two-way. Connect several Google and Outlook accounts plus Apple Calendar: events arrive as blocks, and anything you change in Chunk is pushed back to the source. Apple Reminders syncs both ways too. Day templates and auto-applying routines rebuild a normal weekday in one click, recurring tasks can be skipped, paused or rescheduled per occurrence, and iCloud sync keeps several Macs on the same schedule.
The menu bar carries a live countdown for the current block, with a floating mini timer if you want it bigger. Banner and fullscreen alerts let you complete or reschedule a task without opening the app. A built-in analytics dashboard shows where the hours actually went, and the schedule exports to CSV or PDF.
Everything is stored locally in SQLite on your Mac. An optional local MCP server lets Claude read and rearrange your day on your own machine, so your schedule is never handed to a scheduling service.
