nice interface and works very well and is easy to setup
I haven’t tested it, but the free version is limited to 100 files, and the paid version is only available as a one year subscription model for about 20 €/$. No lifetime license, as it seems. No, thanks.
Pretty easy setup. Both sync and backup files are kept in native format. It was sounding good because they have more flexibility in choices of folders than ShadowMaker, and GoodSync has preset filters.. not categorically simplistic like ShadowMaker, but easier than other programs. However, the free version doesn't allow 100 changes per day, it only allows 100 files to work with per day.. not enough for most people who would use this type of program.
It is useful if you don't have specific needs. It is a little difficult to configure, if you are not careful you can lose your files. When synchronizing hidden or system files, it does not maintain their properties even though it is supposed to have that option. It only offers an annual subscription instead of a lifetime purchase.
Used it for a long time, but then they rolled out the annual subscription and I can't go back to a version that supports the flat license. Time to switch to something else.
Honestly, it's a bit garbage. 1. I would have lost a week's worth of work if it wasn't for Google Drive keeping old versions. You set GS to AUTOMATICALLY sync upon file change and sure - it detects the change. But it DOESNT COPY THE FILES! What?! 2. Greedy developer: hasn't fixed the problems (like that one) in the OLDER VERSION you already PAID for, then brings out a NEW version you have to pay for AGAIN. Note: I have a FULLY PAID VERSION OF 8.9.9.9. I just don't feel confident in this software. PS If I can't set it up properly (despite being able to use dozens of other apps), it's partly the devs fault for not making it simple/obvious enough.
