Needed a dedicated place for code snippets / Math based notes / install guidelines, etc. The most important thing for me is that it followed githubs conventions for markdown. So I can copy paste my notes straight to a .md file.
It is a much better alternative than boostnote in my opinion.
Boost Note feels disjointed since its made as an open source community. Inkdrop right off the bat felt intuitive and easy to use. You can tell its made by one developer just by using it. All the native hotkeys are well thought out. I find myself agreeing to all the decisions and choices the solo developer of this app has made.

Github-flavoured Markdown, status per note, end-to-end encryption, revision history, and over 100 plugins! This is amazing for an app costing only USD 4.99 a month.

Its easy to use and compatible seamlessly with other devices
I use it on my Mac and iPhone. It's a handy, multi-platform, light, and easy-to-use markdown app. Great UI and quick support.
Portable between multiple platforms. This is really the killer feature for me. I'm able to use this on my Windows laptop, Apple laptop and on my iPhone. I know that all of my notes will be synced seamlessly between each platform and that the UX will be consistent no matter what device I'm on. This was a step forward for me from something like iCloud Notes which locks me into a particular platform (macOS, iOS).
This is a great utility app - it stays out of the way and lets you create documents and organize them. Very easy to use and quite intuitive.
You also maintain ownership of the docs that you create. Should you choose you can export your entire collection and have them in Markdown format. The application doesn't prevent you from getting to your content and makes it easy to take ownership.
My only con here is the price. While I understand this is a competitive space, it sometimes feels hard to justify 5USD a month against tools like Notes which are free and let me do 60% of the same thing.
I would recommend this app strongly. This is a very well-made app with excellent UI and support.
I really like this app because of the seamless syncing between my computers and iPhone
