NO! This is not a good alternative for anything! I went through hoop after hoop after hoop trying to get my computer ready for Planify. Because it SOUNDED great! I specifically went out of my way to choose the option that DID NOT use Flatpak. Not really anything against it, just it is more headache than I want right now. So I installed Gnome Builder because you have to to install it. Then I installed Meson, some Vala and C related packages, Glib, GTK4, libsoup-3.0, sqlite3, json-glib,...

Then I installed Meson, some Vala and C related packages, Glib, GTK4, libsoup-3.0, sqlite3, json-glib, libecal-2.0 and libedataserver-1.2 which are both part of Evolution's Calendar, libportal, libportal-gtk4, gxml-0.20, libsecret-1 and libspelling-dev, gtksourceview-5, and, libicu-dev. I began to look up what these things were, and when I got to the 2 portal ones, I found out that they are part of FLATPAK! This was, of course, AFTER I had already installed everything and then did exactly what the website said which was using Gnome Builder to help install Planify. After even more installations that the builder had to do I waited and waited until finally it was almost done...and...it failed. FAILED? How? So that was when I began to look through the dependencies list I mentioned above to make sure that I had everything installed. Even though I did copy the lines exactly in a cut and paste and ran it on a command line, you never know. Anyway, I felt lied to. I mean, yeah, it probably would have been much easier to just install Planify through Flatpak, as I said, I went through all that trouble...well, you know: I already said it. So not only do I NOT have Planify installed, but I have to uninstall several things that almost never goes very well. Very very disappointed.

I haven't used it, but the interface is extremely similar to Acreom and it works for Windows.

it's lightweight, looks cool, and integrates well with your todoist account (yet also has the capability to have other tasks as well!)
