With Spiral, you can create notebooks which are divided into sections, and those contain pages. This way you can build a structure like in a book with a book with chapters and sub-chapters.
On a page, you can place textboxes and move them around. This might be useful if you want to have different areas on your page.
Spiral has the usual text formatting options, and you can also load images.
It saves notebooks in a JSON-like format and uses HTML elements. Unfortunately, I found no way to export the notebook as an HTML file.
All in all, I must say, this is a quite interesting approach, but for me personally this is too cumbersome. I think I will continue to use normal text editors or Markdown editors for my notes.
