NIGHTMARE!! I tried to install it and at first, everything went fine, but then when instructed to add what would basically be dependencies--though they didn't use that word, but with trying to install the MySQL database program and then try, as per the instructions, TO THE LETTER, you could almost hear car crashes, glass breaking, and large earthenware pottery full of well, anything, dropped from a great height and that is not supposed to happen in a high-end (or low-end) laptop. Then, trying to--no, having to abort mid-installation, and then (I kid you not) had to abort from the original abort. It might be fixed after 3 separate and different purges, but at best, 95% fixed. NOT RECOMMENDED!! RUN! RUN SCREAMING!! MichaelTheGamer

Data in xwiki can be exported, but xwiki is horribly slow, and api for scripting is poor documented.

I noticed when following the link to the official website that xwiki.com is linked, and that is a (very) commericalized website. XWiki.org seems to be the open source organization website. Just a heads up.

Compared with all the Open Source Wiki Software out there XWiki is the best one (most professional).

There's no alternative to XWiki if what you're looking for is an extensible enterprise wiki that you can tailor to your needs... We searched high and low for products that were full featured, stable AND had a WYSIWYG editor that wasn't some kind of an afterthought.

A little difficult to configure for us, being a Linux application (we're a Windows shop), but worth the effort!!!
