Probably the best free anti-virus around. Have been using it since 7.5 and it keeps getting better. Loads of useful features and it's pretty CPU friendly too!
Installer defaults to installing bloatware on your system, this is basically a virus

AVG is nagware, adware, popup-ware. Tired of that. It's a bit less intrusive than Windows Defender, but too much is too much.
I'd give them a ZERO if that were possible. They keep pushing and pushing to get me to buy add-ons, but I neither want nor need those. And the settings won't stay SET, either. AVG thinks they know what I need. They don't. They can stuff it up their ***, too.
If Firefox is hanging at "Performing TLS handshake," make sure you have "Scan HTTPS traffic" UNCHECKED in the AVG Web Shield settings.
It's not as much of a memory hog as Norton, but the constant nagging is off-putting. Not to mention the amount of FALSE POSITIVES it gives.
