It's native, it doesn't use significant energy, it's fast and clean.
To edit settings you have to edit the config file in the built-in editor, which is more convenient than other apps with config files, but less user friendly compared to apps with Settings GUI.
It's only version 0.8.1. So I hope later it will be fixed and updated.
