I like Things, but I wish that it had an export feature. Instead of exporting, the developers suggest writing an AppleScript, printing each to-do list separately, or copying the database file (within an invisible folder) [0].

When the Tags window has focus, the Edit – Select All menu item is disabled. If you want to delete all of the tags, then you need to delete each of them separately.
Wirecutter recommends Things as "A better option for Mac users" in their guide "The Best To-Do List App" [1].

The app for iOS (phone) is very nice: the user interface is very easy to use and not frustrating or weird like so many other task apps. Did miss a dark mode. But when you manage tasks you want to add/edit them via all your devices, I always need access via my desktop (less fiddly when editing / adding a lot of stuff). They do have a app for macos, but that will cost you 50 bucks. The app for your phone is 10 dollars, and yes, another separate app for your iPad for 20 dollars. Sorry, but that (80 dollars total!) is just too much, no matter how great the interface is / many options it offers. I'll stick with ticktick for now.
Not sure the 2 stars rating is fair, it's a one time purchase and $80 is less than 2 years of ticktick. Unless you change task managers every year, it's a good deal.
I've been using it since v1. I've spotted trying others, it just works for me to manage my projects. Elegant, Simple, Delightful to use. Fast & flawless sync. "Lifetime" purchase (yes, you need to buy it once for each device kind, but it ends up costing less than subscriptions). But I do use Apple Reminders for geo-fencing + timed reminders + shared lists.
Been using it for several years and it has been solid so far.
I'm using the App on iPad & iPhone since 3 months and I love the widget.
For me it's the fastest way to add ideas to your todo list.
I love the UI and you have few inspiration online to learn how to custom the tool.
